Database Development for Water Quality Index using Geographical Information System

The present study aimed to identify drainage pollution at Parit Raja, Johor in accordance the Water Quality Index (WQI) and based on Geographic Information System (GIS) data analysis. A total of 18 sampling stations six ditches were selected be points. parameters investigated included Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Demand (BOD), Chemical (COD), Suspended Solid (SS), Ammonia Nitrogen (AN) pH. ArcGIS software was water quality gathered digitized GIS as storage system order develop database. results revealed that 13 categorized polluted, 5 classified slightly polluted. These findings indicated have an ability provide interactive visual attribute information effectively improve management system. Therefore, can applied a big area this is useful for wastewater by authorities.
